The M.D. Anderson Surgical Oncology Handbook

Written by surgical oncologists at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, this handbook presents patient management recommendations and includes a new chapter on basic science. It uses an organ system approach for diagnosis and management of cancer. There is consistent chapter organization on epidemiology, pathology, staging, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment. Emphasis is placed on early detection of curable early-stage tumours and on multimodality treatment planning with timely integration of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Each chapter ends with a list of key references to the literature.
