NUTRITION AND DIAGNOSIS-RELATED CARE was developed to supplement other texts and references used by practitoners, insturctors, interns, and students to quickly assimilate and implement medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for numberous disorders. This manual can be used to help write protocols to establish prioities in nutritional care, to demonstrate therapies at lower cost than certain medications and total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and to categorize disorders in which nutritional input can reduce costs by lessing complications, further morbidity, mortality, and lengthy hospital stays.
