Biostatistics

"Biostatistics, the branch of statistics, is responsible for the apposite interpretation of scientific data created in the biology, public health and other health sciences. In these sciences, subjects show substantial variation in their response to stimuli. This variation may be due to different treatments or it may be due to measurement error, or other characteristics of the specific subjects. Generally, Biostatistics is associated with separating these different sources of variation. It finds to differentiate between correlation and causation, and to make usable implications from known samples about the populations from which they were pinched."
