Although Henry Ford did not invent the automobile, he did make the automobile affordable for more people. He then went on to develop an assembly and production process that brought down the price of automobiles even more. With the support of his wife and his own single-minded determination to see him through the difficult times, Ford accomplished his goal of putting affordable transportation into the hands of average, working-class people.
