Communications within Europe are increasingly deregulated with the march towards a Single Market. A series of directives from the EC releasing various aspects of telcommunications from the state monopolies will create a competitive and open market for equipment and services. Coupled with this deregulation are the continuing advances in technology which are transforming the economics and methods of communicating.
