College Mathematics for Technology

For Technical Math courses that do not include calculus. This text addresses curriculum and pedagogy standards that are initiatives of the American Mathematical Association of two-year Colleges (AMATYC), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and the Mathematics Association of America (MAA). It uses simplified language that appeals to a variety of student learning styles, promotes active and independent learning, and strengthens critical thinking and writing skills. A "six-step approach" to problem solving, numerous tips, and clear, concise explanations throughout the text enable students to understand the concepts underlying mathematical processes.
