Handbook of Nurse Anesthesia

This handbook is written for those professionals who administer anaesthetics. It covers the three content areas clinical practitioners often refer to - drugs, surgical procedures, and common diseases. The drug section lists the drugs generically by name and include trade names and indications, anaesthetic considerations and implications. The text also covers diagnostic and surgical procedures where each procedure is introduced with a brief description and key pathophysiologic points. Diseases are also defined and the incidence, aetiology, diagnosis, treatment, anaesthetic considerations and prognosis are listed for each.
