Instructions for Geriatric Patients

This handbook provides instruction sheets for patients and their caregivers to improve compliance, calm concerns, and strengthen the doctor-patient relationship. Users can photocopy or distribute these. The book covers the majority of conditions that older patients experience - from Alzheimer's to herpes zoster. It features a large-print format, and includes a set of sheets covering a variety of diets. There are illustrations to explain disease processes and treatments. The caregiver is provided with guidelines for dealing with geriatric problems such as depression, sleep disturbances, dementia, visual loss and hypothermia.
