Construction Risk in Coastal Engineering

This book concentrates on the risks that occur during coastal construction and on the mitigation measures that can be embraced to control or reduce the impact of these risks. Traditionally, risk management has been applied instinctively. However, in a well-managed project, structured introduction of mitigation measures is possible throughout its inception, development and construction. Such measures may include changes in the way the project is designed, detailed and procured as well as the way the daily site activities are managed and controlled.
