The second of three volumes, this clinically oriented text offers, in encyclopaedic format, illustrated coverage of dermatologic disorders of children and adolescents. It reviews the basic sciences crucial to the field, including immunology, electron microscopy, and enzyme histochemistry. Coverage includes clinical findings, incidence, aetiopathogeneis, diagnosis, treatment and references. Each disorder is illustrated with clinical photographs and histopathologic features of tissue samples. Photographs show the lesions at various stages of their development, aiming towards a "moving picture" rather than a static, often misleading representation of a single moment in the course of a disease.
