Automated Smith Chart Software and User's Manual

This is an upgrade to the first version. Using an IBM Pc, or compatible with Windows, this program eliminates the time-consuming process and risk of drawing errors common to the use of paper charts whilst providing a fast, accurate means to design, modify, test and optimize impedence matching. The software is flexible and easy to learn with real-time interactive element-varying capability to perform an impedance matching design. Mathematical computations, locus manipulations and graphical display interactions internal to the program can all be performed, allowing the user to concentrate on choosing the best circuit configuration and circuit element values to achieve an optimum design. Operational power, graphics and analysis capabilities and instrument support have all been improved over the first version. Key features included are; the specification of load or admittance, matching circuit element specification, iterative circuit design sequence and impedance trace plotting.
