Milton's Tractate on Education

This reprint of Milton's treatise of 1673 was originally published in 1883 by the educational reformer and wit Oscar Browning, now perhaps best known for his negative depiction in Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own. In addition to Milton's original text on the ideal education of boys, this book features an introduction and copious notes by Browning intended to spur his fellow teachers on to effective educational reform.
