In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the names Clothier, Barnes, Wetherill, Elkins, etc. probably helped elicit interest in a new woman's organization soon to be chartered in Washington DC. Deeply entwined in the late 1800 history of Philadelphia and Valley Forge, this Chapter continues to exert as much aid and influence now as then.
