Managing Schools The European Experience

This book provides an overview of some of the problems and issues facing school directors in the European Union (EU) member countries belonging to the Network and in 'associated countries'; highlight some of the features of the management and governance of schools in different countries represented and to undertake a comparative analysis of the main developments; to provide a range of case studies illustrating how school directors have interpreted, introduced and developed the 'European Dimension' in their schools. These country case studies provide readers with a wide range of information about educational systems and school management as Europe approaches the millennium.
