This field of women’s health and disease has been attracting the attention of the scientific community over the past 50 years. At the dawn of the 21st century a substantial amount of accumulated knowledge has found its way to clinical application giving rise, however, to new pertinent questions. The volume covers issues concerning women's health and disease, keeping a particular interest on gynecology, obstetrics, endocrinology, and assisted reproduction.
