Advances in Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is the study of the controlling of matter on an atomic and molecular scale and is also very diverse, ranging from extensions of conventional device physics to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly. This book gathers and presents data on nanotechnology, including the mechanochemical synthesis of oxide nanopowders; reactive nano-epoxy with carbon nanofibres for application as a composite matrix; effects of fullerene nanoparticles in the environment; applications of nanotechnology in the food processing industry; nanotechnology for tumour targeted delivery of drugs or genes; and, ultrafine mesostructured nanomaterials for advanced sensing systems.
