Neck Pain Causes, Diagnosis, and Management

Neck pain is often caused by numerous spinal problems including inflammation, muscular tightness in both the neck and upper back, and pinching of the nerves emanating from the cervical vertebrae. Various head and neck lesions such as neck infections can also induce neck pain. In this book, the authors present topical research in the study of neck pain, including the biomechanics, neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of cervical facet joint pain; musculoskeletal discomfort in the neck due to computer use; rolfing structural integration treatment for neck pain; neck pain induced by deep neck infections and pharmacological intervention in the management of neck pain disorders.
