Advances and Applications of Genetic Programming

The evolutionary algorithm-based methodology of genetic programming has been described in this book along with its applications. Genetic programming (GP) is that division of Evolutionary Computing which focuses on the automatic discovery of programs to address a given issue. It was first applied in latter half of twentieth century and made it very easy to compute results in short periods through non-human systems, taking artificial intelligence to a higher level to become one of the most significant programs and the base of a lot of new great discoveries. As the technology is growing every day, GP too has evolved and is still developing very quickly, with latest schemes and functions regularly coming up.
