Allergic Diseases: A Clinical Approach

Allergic diseases are the conditions of the human body that are induced due to a hypersensitivity of the immune system, usually in response to non-toxic substances in the environment. Some allergic diseases are anaphylaxis, atopic dermatitis, allergic asthma, food allergies and hay fever. Some symptoms of such allergic diseases are sneezing, an itchy rash, shortness of breath, red eyes or swelling. Allergens such as pollen, metals, medications and insect stings can also cause allergic reactions. The diagnosis of this is based on a review of the medical history of a person or through testing of the blood or skin.
