Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a common birth defect. CDH occurs in about 1 in every 2,500 births and the reason is yet unidentified. In CDH, the diaphragm is unable to form properly, which leads to the herniation of the contents of the abdomen into the thoracic cavity and results in pulmonary hypoplasia.
