Library Science

Library science can be defined as the application of management tools to libraries. It is a multidisciplinary subject and deals with the organization, collection and preservation of books, newspapers, public records and artifacts. Cataloging and indexing of all library records for easy retrieval is a major part of library science. Managing archives is also an important aspect of this subject.
