Concepts and Numericals in Chemistry

Chemistry is a branch of physical science that studies the composition, structure, properties and change of matter. It covers everything from Heisenberg to nuclear chemistry, thus providing its readers with a holistic approach to the field of chemistry. This book is divided into nine chapters. First chapter attemps to a comprehensive knowledge for low temperature pyrolysis and gasification process covering study of operation conditions affecting catalytic activity behaviors of nickel loaded brown coal char catalysts. Second chapter describes about the separation and subsequent catalytic chemical conversion. Calorimetric determination of heat capacity, entropy and enthalpy of mixed oxides are outlined in third chapter. Differential scanning calorimetry is presented in fourth chapter. Fifth chapter deals with thermal decomposition kinetics of aged solid propelalnt based on ammonium perchlorate. Sixth chapter focuses on the interdigitated phase of fully hydrated phospholipids with hydrocarbon chain lenghts of equal size. We pay special attention to recently discovered interdigitated systems and the chemicals that can induce or inhibit lipid interdigitation. The aim of seventh chapter is to clarify numerical solutions for nano-structure relaxation processes focusing on the activation energy in transition metal based amorphous alloys. Eight chapter defines the kinetic study of the partial hydrogenation of 1-hep-tyne over Ni and Pd supported on alumina. The objective of ninth chapter is to present the use of DSC technique on the measurement and characterization of the liquid-solid phase equilibria of paraffins.
