Materials Physics and Chemistry

Materials physics is the use of physics to describe materials in many different ways such as force, heat, light and mechanics. It is a synthesis of physical sciences such as chemistry, solid mechanics, solid state physics, and materials science. Materials physics, an option in the physics major, for high-tech employmnet in industries that have needs for better materials, such as companies improving opticals fibers, transportation, electronics, communications, alternative energy sources, medicine, and a wide range of condumer goods. "aterials Physics and Chemistry" contains eleven chapter. First chapter ensures the physics and application of atomic layer thermopile materials. Modeling of slot waveguide sensors based on polymeric materials has been described in chapter second. Third and fourth chapters examine microwave plasma synthesis of materials from physics and chemistry to nanoparticles with a materials scientist's viewpoint and material for powder-based ac-electroluminescence. Photo thermal techniques in material characterization have been discussed in chapter fifth. Sixth and seventh chapters review the raw materials for production of SRAC and bioceramics for hip joints with physical chemistry viewpoint. Consolidation of ancient raw materials using a reversible, elastic, soft polymer has been represented in chapter eighth. Ninth chapter elaborates the analytical estimation of elastic properties of polypropylene fiber matrix composite by finite element analysis. tenth chapter presents detection of random laser action from silica xerogel matrices containing rhodamine 610 dyes and titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Last chapter provides the syhnthesis and characterization of copper substituted nickel nano-ferrites by citrate-gel technique.
