Diseases of the Goat

Ruminants are mammals that possess specialized organs that allow microbial fermentation of ingested materials prior to digestion. Common examples of ruminants include cattle, sheep and even goats. Goats where one of the first animals to be domesticated and they may be used for their milk, meat and skin. They are susceptible to a number of diseases and disorders.
