Ecology and Ecosystems

Ecosystem ecology is the integrated study of biotic and abiotic components of ecosystems and their interactions within an ecosystem framework. This science examines how ecosystems work and relates this to their components such as chemicals, bedrock, soil, plants, and animals. Ecosystem ecology observes physical and biological structures and studies how these ecosystem characteristics interrelate with each other. Eventually, this helps us maintaining high quality water and economically viable commodity production. This book brings out a general view on the biogeochemical cycles, the ecological imprints, the mathematical models and theories applicable to many situations.
