Library Cataloging

Library cataloging is a collection of methods that allow for the categorization and classification of resources of a library. This facilitates browsing for material related to any particular field. Classification depends on the "aboutness" of the subject as well as the accession number which indicates where the resource is shelved. Modern classification systems include the Dewey Decimal System, Colon Classification, the Library of Congress Classification, etc. This book is compiled in such a manner, that it will provide in-depth knowledge about the theory and practice of library cataloging.
