Finite Element Method with Applications in Engineering

Finite element method is a powerful analysis tool in engineering field. While how it reflected in the industry field is still very unfamiliar for many people. This book presents a review of finite element method application in industry field. First three chapter introduced how finite element method works. Chapter 1 is a brief introduction of FEM's history and basic theory. Chapter 2 illustrates the mathematic models of FEM. Chapter 3 introduces three most popular commercial software. Chapter 4 to 7 shows the FEM's application in solid mechanics, structures, heat transfer and manufactory. Specific examples are provided in each topic.
