Pain Management in Animals Analysis and Management

Although all veterinary surgeons share a common concern for the welfare of animals under their care, the prevention and alleviation of pain has not always been implemented effectively. Misconceptions about the nature and significance - of pain, difficulties in recognising its severity and uncertainty as to the most appropriate therapy have all hampered progress in this area. This book sets out to address some of these obstacles by bringing together current thinking concerning the recognition and management of pain.
