Advising Clients with HIV and AIDS

This work concentrates on the legal implications of a client being HIV positive or of developing AIDS. It covers all issues which client will need advice on, including disclosing one's status, criminal and civil liability, access to medical records and right to treatment, discrimination and employment issues, arranging financial affairs and living wills, family issues such as custody and guardianship of children, the rights and education of HIV-infected children and access to social services such as housing and welfare benefits. This book takes a practical, non-political, advice-centred approach. It also includes precedents including a living will and power of attorney and is intended as a reference for practitioners.
