Approach to Pediatric Emergency

Pediatric emergency is relatively a new discipline. The book deals with ideas which can be practised in any reasonably good hospital set-up. It also covers emergency situations that can be dealt with both by emergency physicians and pediatricians. Chapters on ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopedics even psychiatry discuss topics where there is a clear boundary what as a pediatrician and emergency specialist should do and when he should refer to other specialists. A lucid approach has also been made for relatively new pediatric trainee or emergency trainee in chapters like neonatal collapse or approach to a crying baby, croup, bronchiolitis so that hesitation can be brought down to minimum.
