Atmosphere-ocean Interactions

In recent years intense scientific research has been devoted to the understanding of atmosphere-ocean interactions.This volume continues and expands on some of the topics covered in Volume 1 (ISBN: 1-85312-892-9). The contributors consider hurricanes and severe marine storms within the context of atmosphere-ocean interactions. Factors related to storm intensity and evolution are mentioned, while impacts of storms on the upper ocean and related atmospheric variables are described.Relationships between climate time-scales and storms and the impacts of storms on climate-related factors such as air-sea gas transfer are also considered.
