Holding items ranging in diversity from a smooth stone to precious jewelry, to drum sticks, her subjects reveal the origins of their attachments. The evocative black-and-white photographic portraits connect the subjects to their objects of attachment. Sometimes witty, sometimes heartbreaking vignettes accompany the photographs, giving voice to the photographic images. One man's attachment to a golf sock is the subject of a story of a domineering father and the mother he never really knew. A woman's tiny stone bunny serves as the protector to sick friends, traveling to those who need it and back to her again. A grandmother's drum sticks remind one young woman to live agelessly, without boundaries.
