Biological Engineering

Biological engineering is a field of engineering in which life and life-sustaining systems are highlighted. The most significant trend in biological engineering is the dynamic advancement at which biotechnology is now able to integrate with biological processes and an explosion in micro/nanoscale technology is permitting the manufacture of nanoparticles for drug delivery into cells, miniaturized implantable microsensors for medical diagnostics, and micro-engineered robots for on-board tissue repairs. This book intends to offer an updated sketch of the latest advances in biological engineering from varied aspects and several applications grouped under two sections: Biochemical Engineering Methods and Applications, and E-Health and Educational Aspects of Bioengineering.
