Chemical Senses: Irritation

The second of four volumes containing the proceedings of as many symposia, each on a specific topic of the chemical sense of the mouth and nose, at the Monell Chemical Sense Center in Philadelphia. The symposium on irritation was held in June 1988. The 15 papers with following discussions, and a general discussion, focus on chemical nociception and its relationship to the skin senses, olfaction, and taste, presenting perspectives ranging from neurophysiology to human psychophysics.
