In addition, suggestions and solutions are provided for professionals who are developing packages of care, audit systems, standards and activities outside the diabetic clinic. Special attention is given to the role of the paediatric diabetes nurse specialist and the purpose of the children's diabetic clinic, with particular strategies of care and examples of documentation being provided.
