Constitutional Law The Machinery of Government

This work reflects the significant changes that have occured following the enactment of measures having a major impact on constitutional law and process. Amongst these are the reforms to the electoral system introduced by the Representation of the People Act 2000 and the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. The text also considers the forst stage of the process of reforming the House of Lords effected by the enactment of the House of Lords Act 1999. The case law developments considered are DPP v Jones (the right to demonstrate) and DPP v Redmond-Bate (breach of the peace).
