A textbook on residential conveyancing this volume has been expanded to cover basic principles relevant to commercial conveyancing. It has also been updated to take into account the significant changes made by the Family Law Act 1996, the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, the Land Registration Act 1997 and the changes to the Land Registry forms. The text does not just set out the law, it explains it, illustrates it, and shows it working in standard conveyancing tasks such as drafting the agreement for sale, investigating a title, and drawing up the transfer. It gives advice on such pitfalls as acting in the sale of matrimonial homes, or obtaining a spouse's signature to mortgage documents.
