Wendy Richmond was one of the first to show designers how life with computers could actually be pleasant. Or at least compatible. And certainly productive. And she was perhaps the first to assert that design work might actually be improved by computers, because the allow the designer to get to the heart of the problem faster. She also worked with people at computer companies, trying to improve their understanding of how designers think and work.
