Desktop Publishing for Educators Using Adobe PageMaker

Part I explains the basics: desktop publishing hardware (equipment) and software (programs); design principles and techniques; typography; ways to organize and enhance publications; and how to use graphics effectively. Part II begins with a tour of PageMaker (a popular software for producing publications). As readers use their computer's mouse, keyboard and monitor, it shows them how to: place and manipulate text; import, move and size graphics; create a simple flyer, brochure and newsletter; create a "long document" (e.g., book) with a table of contents and index; and even export their publication to the World Wide Web.
