Designed to help the pathologist in the differential diagnosis of lesions of the breast, this volume presents abundant b&w illustrations, with emphasis on both low and high power microscopic observations and application of immunohisto- chemical studies where appropriate. Ultrastructural findings are not emphasized. The book is divided into nine sections which cover those areas in breast pathology where the differential diagnostic problems commonly occur. Subsections cover the general considerations, clinical, imaging and gross features of the lesions, and histologic appearances. Discussion of the histologic characteristics is comparative. Emphasis is placed on detailed discussion of boundaries between lesions and different expert opinions on classification and terminology of various breast lesions is presented.
