EDTA Synthesis, Uses, and Environmental Concerns

In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the synthesis, uses and environmental concerns of EDTA. Topics discussed include the symbiotic and synergic effects in amide and ester derivatives of EDTA; photo- or radiation-induced degradation of EDTA and its complexes of heavy metals; the use of EDTA root conditioning in regenerative procedures of periodontal tissues; effects of EDTA on adsorption behaviour of cadmium onto natural freshwater surface coatings; and the environmental concerns and remedies in the management of EDTA-containing aqueous effluent.
