Macroeconomics encompasses a variety of concepts and variables, but three are central topics for macroeconomic research. Macro- economic theories usually relate the phe- nomena of output, unemployment, and in- flation. Outside of macroeconomic theory, these topics are also extremely important to all economic agents including workers, con- sumers, and producers. The book seeks to give students a thorough understanding of some fundamental facts in macroeconomics and to introduce them to methods of formal macroeconomics analysis, without requiring too many technical skills.
