Evergreens Types, Ecology, and Conservation

In this book, the authors present current research in the study of the types, ecology and conservation of evergreens. Topics discussed in this compilation include evergreen conifer forests in Hokkaido and Sakhalin, Japan; light responses and gender issues in the domestication process of Yerba-Mate evergreens; spatio-temporal variation in edge effects on the herpetofauma of a Mexican tropical rain forest; conservation of the Chinese cathay silver fir; ecological significance of leaf longevity of the cerrado woody species; and temperature and transpiration effects of selective cutting of large trees in a broad-leaved evergreen forest in central Cambodia.
