Groundwater Hydrology

The area of groundwater hydrology and the discipline of hydrogeology have appealed a lot of consideration during the past few years. Groundwater recharge and discharge are important-although typically inconspicuous-aspects of the global hydrological cycle. Recharge involves the downward movement and influx of groundwater to an aquifer; discharge involves the upward movement and outfluxes of groundwater from an aquifer. Recharge and discharge activities are usually spatially limited to a small portion of an aquifer.
