International Business

Part of the challenge of international business is to make sense of complex, changing and multifaceted phenomena. International Business covers both the economic and managerial aspects of the subject, including international economics and world trade, the International Monetary System, theory of the MNE and the cultural, organizational and operational issues needed to demonstrate how management works in the global economy. In addition International Business focuses on specific functional areas of business; strategy, HRM, international sales and marketing, financial management and accounting and international POM. International Business provides an analytical approach to current thinking and trends in theoretical, environmental and management issues in international business management. Key issues are illustrated through the use of case studies from a truly international background. Small and medium sized enterprises as well as the large multi-nationals are discussed in the context of international business transactions.
