Jed Johnson Opulent Restraint Interiors

This is the first book to present the work of Jed Johnson, who came to New York in 1968 and began his career in film at Andy Warhol's Factory, and who later became a renowned interior designer for his friends and mentors. He designed the elegant neo-classical interiors for Andy Warhol's town house on the Upper East Side of New York, as well as Yves St. Laurent's nearby Egyptian Revival apartment and the town house of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. Johnson's own apartment was Arts and Crafts. His genius was that he could design in any style, from Louis XV in St. Louis to Ranch style in Texas, as he did for Barbra Streisand, Fran Lebowitz, and Richard Gere.
