MRI-Arthroscopy Correlative Atlas

This is the first book ever to correlate MR images with arthroscopic images. By placing these two image types side by side for easy comparison, the MRI-Arthroscopic Correlative Atlas offers readers an unprecedented opportunity to better understand musculoskeletal injuries and see how to achieve greater diagnostic accuracy. Allows the radiologist to see the actual pathology represented by the MR image, as well as, allows the surgeon to better understand the MRI image. This atlas is designed to take the "mystery" out of MRI interpretation by Orthopedic Surgeons an arthroscopic interpretation by Radiologists. Each joint-specific chapter begins with a discussion of arthroscopy and MRI. Atlas-style case presentations show side-by-side comparisons of MRI and arthroscopic studies of the same patient, accompanied by line drawings of these findings. This approach enables readers to compare and contrast the images that are generated by the two modalities. Over 450 images--104 in full colour. Co-authored by orthopaedists and radiologists, the ATLAS bridges gaps in understanding between these two specialties.
