This book helps all human services, social workers, helping professionals and/or health care professionals to develop their awareness and understanding of cultural attitudes to health care, and to develop competence in dealing with the ethnic diversity of health care recipients. The chapter authors present the values, beliefs and attitudes toward health care of different ethnic populations, including Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, Arab Americans, Jewish Americans and others.
