Multistep Avalanche Chambers

This book discusses how the position-sensitive detectors (GPSD) play an important role in high-energy physics experiments, as well as in applied areas. Besides the co-ordinate information on tracks of charged particles, these detectors grant access to information on ionisation losses of radiation and a time of flight of particles, which leads to the identification of registered particles.
