Nursing99 Drug Handbook with disk is an annual, quick reference handbook for busy, practicing nurses who need vital up-to-date drag information. The 1999 edition contains more than 900 entries and cover 1131 genetic and 4068 trade drugs. New features include complete entries on approximately 35 new drugs approved since publication of NDH 98 - highlighted with a new "adjust a dose" drug logo. The new logo calls out special patient situations that require an adjustment in the dose such as a patient with another illness, on a certain drug or with a compromising serum level, etc. Other new features include pharmacokinetics in chart box, new appendices, geriatric sub-heads under Indications and Dosage, and a thorough update of Australian drugs. The disk will include 200 patient teaching printouts and two continuing education tests.
